An SIU is only as strong as the information it has access to. The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) uses the ACE system to analyze claim data for patterns of potential fraud, waste and abuse. Working in tandem with the client, the SIU team conducts preliminary and extensive investigations in accordance with Federal and State guidelines.
AMG-SIU’s staff of special investigators conducts preliminary research, investigations, medical record reviews, pharmacy reviews as well as continuous monitoring during and after the investigation. Investigations follow all applicable federal and state laws, regulations and policies; ensuring all documentation is acceptable to regulatory agencies or a court of law.Clients have easy access to education materials that are generated from ACE’s reporting system. All investigation documentation, reports and findings are court-ready. |
