The Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Allied Management Group – Special Investigation Unit (AMG-SIU), Lori Lewis oversees and guides all company operations. Using a combination of management skills and health care knowledge Ms. Lewis orchestrated the company’s development to create the health care industry’s leading fraud, waste and abuse Special Investigation Unit. Ms. Lewis provided the architecture and rule structure central to AMG-SIU’s total fraud, waste and abuse solution.
Ms. Lewis has been working in the health care industry for more than 35 years as the Chief Operations Officer and Executive Vice President of Allied Management Group (AMG), the parent company of AMG-SIU. Ms. Lewis has served as a consultant, advisor and executive to health plans in her role at AMG. She has been instrumental in the development and organization of two HMOs, six MCOs, four TPAs, a California medical network of more than 30,000 providers and 20 multi-state provider networks which she also managed.
Throughout her career, Ms. Lewis has served as a key contributor in the technological and organizational advancements within the health care industry. Originating as an executive in the finance and banking industry, and later as an executive of leading health care institutions, under Ms. Lewis’s instruction various medical networks and software programs were developed including a medical networking system linking medical providers and payers, claims processing software, prescription benefit management software, and a complete physician automation solution.
Ms. Lewis has served in executive management for Columbia Provider Services, California Medical Association’s California Advantage, Premier Health Management, Meditech Insurance Administrators, Allied Medical Group, RX-Card, Opticare, Medical Systems Inc. among other leading medical and financial institutions.
