Edward “Ed” D. Hutt, M.D., MBA, FAAFP, serves as AMG-SIU’s Chief Medical Officer, providing medical direction and medical policy for the company.

Dr. Hutt was the Vice President of Medical Affairs for Columbia Provider Services, Inc. There, he was responsible for more than 14 hospitals and the 9 respective IPAs. Ed oversaw a delegated full-risk commercial plan and a delegated full-risk Medicare contract as part of his position.

Dr. Hutt has served as the director of a variety of health plans including Southern Health Services, Managed Health Services Insurance Corp., FHP, Inc and MetLife Health Care –serving as the regional medical director. Dr. Hutt has also practiced as a family practitioner and physician throughout his career.

Dr. Hutt is a member of the Fellow of American College of Utilization Review Physicians, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physician, and a Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Medical Quality. He holds memberships at the American College of Physician Executives and the American Medical Association.
